There are mmarie_book2_any books in the market about training dogs, none so easy to read and as useful as 100 Ways To Train The Perfect Dog by Marie Miller and Sarah Fisher. As a dog owner myself this is the book that helped me understand and train my husky, Arapahoe. Alex Wilson reviews this excellent book.

This is an ideal book for both the first time and experienced dog owner wanting the perfect pooch. Sarah Fisher and Marie Miller are some of the most knowledgeable dog people in the country and are both regularly seen at events demonstrating their work.

This book is about the positive reinforcement approach to dog training and includes the use of clickers and treat bags, very popular with our four legged friends! It demonstrates that choke chains and other old fashioned equipment are no longer necessary to train that perfect dog. The book guides the owner step by step in the process of dog training and also looks at the nutritional needs of the dog, plus there is good information about the equipment necessary for that training process. Whilst I think this is one of the best dog training books on the market, of course it is not a substitute for a good puppy training class as that provides a wonderful opportunity for dogs to learn to socialise and make friends.
